Nodular tumors: Composed of solid nests of cells with peripheral pallisades of cells. The cells tend to be intermediate between the large cell of myc and small cell of ras associated tumors. The nodular intermediate cell tumor is characteristic of neu and neu-related tumors(19, Neu). Since these tumors tend to present as ductal masses with necrosis, they sometimes have central necrosis, providing a comedo pattern and resemble human DCIS.
