Slide 62. Histology preparation shows a TDLU arising directly from a large duct. This "duct lobule" is an ALA,
grade 2 or 3, on the basis of epithelial hyperplasia in the ETD and ITD. If DCIS arose in a TDLU such as this,
the abnormal cells could soon populate the larger duct, giving the false impression that the
DCIS arose in the larger duct. Low magnification. Hematoxylin and eosin stain.
