Slide 52. Subgross photograph of a stromal fibrous nodule, probably arising by organization of the content of an apocrine or other cyst. The lesion is approximately 2 mm in diameter. Note yellow fibrous center and blue surrounding area. Many of these are calcified and are the "pearls" of the x-ray mammographer. Hematoxylin stain.
