Slides 33,34,and 35. Subgross images of DCIS of the comedo type. The DCIS has spread into the duct system presumably from a TDLU, not visible. Note the cyst which is about 7 mm in diameter. The ducts in both the left and middle images are about 3 mm in diameter. Note the dense central cores of calcified necrotic material surrounded by peripheral rims of paler, viable, neoplastic cells. Histology of the central image is shown on the right. Hematoxylin stain.
